M.S., Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, University of Nebraska, 2001
B.S., Biological Resources Engineering, University of Maryland, 1999
Mr. Brothers has more than six years of water resource consulting experience in additional to two years of engineering experience as a water resources research assistant. His work has included historical consumptive use analyses, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage infrastructure design, GIS analysis, and reservoir spillway design. He has experience with several consumptive use, hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality models.
Mr. Brothers has conducted hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and completed drainage planning and design for several transportation, land development, and capital improvement projects. His work included design of channel restorations, including bank stabilization, drop structures, re-establishment of riparian habitat, and crossing structure replacement.
Mr. Brothers has experience using GIS applications and models in watershed planning and management and hydrologic analyses. This experience has included water quality modeling and best-management practice evaluation and planning.
Mr. Brothers has conducted engineering evaluations on several water rights transfer projects. His work has included evaluation of gravel pit substitute water supply plans, engineering analysis on water rights change of use cases, preparation of augmentation plans, valuation of water rights, and municipal water supply planning and source evaluation.
